On November 26–27, S Spine, a specialized spine hospital, conducted a basic fire safety and evacuation drill for over 100 staff members. The training aimed to enhance knowledge and practical skills for fire prevention and response in a safe and efficient

The training focused on equipping staff with essential fire suppression skills, such as the correct use of fire extinguishers to control the spread of flames. Participants also learned how to respond in emergencies and prioritize the safety of patients and visitors within the facility.

The training also empowered staff to assess risk situations, plan preventive measures, and manage fire emergencies systematically. This aligns with the Ministerial Regulation on Occupational Safety, Health, and Workplace Environment for Fire Prevention and Control B.E. 2555 (2012).

Real-Life Fire Drill Scenario for Hands-On Training

The training included a realistic simulation of a fire outbreak in the inpatient ward on the 4th floor, triggered by a mock electrical short circuit. Staff members applied both theoretical and practical training to contain the fire and successfully evacuated patients and visitors to the designated outdoor assembly area.

Reinforcing Confidence in Hospital Safety Standards

S Spine Hospital recognizes the importance of preparedness in mitigating potential fire incidents. All staff were trained in initial emergency response management to ensure safety and maintain high standards of care and protection.

“Fires can happen at any time. Preparedness is key to minimizing losses and ensuring the safety of everyone within the hospital.”
