Percutaneous Stenoscopic Lumbar Decompression (PSLD)
Lower back pain radiating down the leg often stems from nerve compression in the lumbar spine. This condition is common among working adults and the elderly, as well as those with habits that accelerate spinal degeneration—such as prolonged sitting or standing in the same position, improper lifting techniques, spinal injuries from accidents, and high-impact physical activities.

Recognizing Symptoms of Radiating Back Pain
Radiating Pain from Lower Back to Leg
Pain originates in the lower back and radiates down to the hips, legs, or feet, following the path of the affected nerve.
Muscle Weakness
Weakness in the leg or foot muscles can occur, making movement difficult.
Pain with Movement
Symptoms often worsen with movement—such as standing, walking, prolonged sitting, or even coughing and sneezing.
Intermittent Pain Relief
Pain may subside when resting or when in positions that reduce pressure on the nerve, such as lying flat or bending the knees slightly.
Diagnosis
At S Spine & Joint Hospital, a specialized center for spine and joint care, we focus on identifying the root cause before starting treatment. Every patient with symptoms suggesting a spinal condition will undergo comprehensive evaluation, including X-rays and MRI scans, to visualize the spine and identify any compressed nerves. These insights guide the selection of the most appropriate treatment.
Treatment Technique
We stand apart through our S-Quality standards—an exclusive model at S Spine & Joint—comprising three essential elements:
Specialized Spine Surgeons
🎯 Our doctors are rigorously trained in standardized spine care protocols.
Expert Clinical Support Team
🎯 Skilled assistants who collaborate seamlessly with doctors, enhancing treatment efficiency and reducing recovery time.
Advanced Spine-Specific Technology
🎯 We employ world-class surgical tools and imaging systems built specifically for spine care. The absence of any of these pillars can affect treatment success.

Treatment procedure
We use state-of-the-art spinal treatment equipment—such as top-tier surgical instruments and open MRI systems that can adjust from lying to standing positions—to achieve highly accurate diagnoses and deliver swift, effective care. Any missing element may reduce the success of the treatment.
Identifying the Cause
Diagnosis begins with posture-specific X-rays and upright MRI scans to evaluate abnormalities in cervical discs. Physicians combine both sets of images for a highly accurate assessment.
Pre-Treatment Preparation
Patients receive guidelines for pre-procedure preparation, such as fasting or disclosing medical history and allergies. A detailed physical examination is also conducted.
PSCD Minimally Invasive Surgery
Using a small endoscopic camera inserted through the skin, the surgeon visualizes the target area and uses precision tools to remove the herniated disc and decompress the narrowed nerve canal.
Follow-Up and Recovery
After the treatment, the doctor and a team of specialists will continuously monitor the treatment results and evaluate the patient’s condition to ensure that the pain has decreased and no complications occur. The patient stays in the hospital for only one night and can return to normal daily life.
