From years of debilitating pain and countless failed attempts to find relief, to a modern treatment that changed everything overnight

This is the story of Khun Bangorn. For nearly a decade, she suffered from persistent neck pain that haunted her every day. What began as a minor discomfort eventually grew into a life-altering condition she never imagined would disrupt her life for so long.

Where the Pain Began

Khun Bangorn’s neck pain started over 10 years ago. Her job, which involved constant driving and exposure to vibrations and impacts, triggered a mild discomfort at first. “It felt like muscle tension—so I took some painkillers and tried physical therapy. I just lived with it,” she recalled, her expression reflecting how harmless it had once seemed.

But the pain intensified with time. Eventually, she began experiencing dizziness, nausea, and such severe neck pain that it disrupted her daily life. “It hurt so bad—here and deep inside—pain that words couldn’t describe,” she said, her voice filled with the burden of enduring years of invisible suffering.

The Frustration of Ineffective Treatments

“I tried acupuncture, medications—everything would help a little at first, but the pain always came back.” Khun Bangorn began to realize that none of the treatments she tried actually addressed the root cause of her pain. Tired, discouraged, and not wanting to be a burden to her family, she sought a more definitive solution. That’s when someone who had been treated at S Spine & Joint Hospital recommended she give it a try.

A Targeted Diagnosis and a Transformative Treatment

She was diagnosed with cervical disc herniation compressing a nerve, which explained the radiating pain down her neck, shoulder, and arm. Her doctor recommended a minimally invasive endoscopic procedure to resolve the issue.

“Right after the surgery, the pain was just... gone. I felt like jumping! It was as if something heavy had been lifted from me. I felt amazing,” she beamed, forgetting she’d only just undergone surgery.

For the first time in years, she was able to return to her daily life pain-free—and with renewed joy.

Back to Living Fully Again

It wasn’t just Khun Bangorn who felt the joy of getting her life back—her family was her greatest source of strength throughout the ordeal. “I called home and told them, ‘I made it. I’m okay now. Please wait for me.’”

The sense of wholeness and normalcy she regained is priceless. This treatment, she believes, was one of the most valuable choices of her life, as it allowed her to return to the warm, loving moments with her family once more.

We’re truly grateful that S Spine & Joint Hospital could be part of your healing journey, Khun Bangorn. Thank you for trusting us.

Posterior Cervical Endoscopic Discectomy (PSCD)

Posterior Cervical Endoscopic Discectomy (PSCD)

Neck pain radiating down the arm is typically caused by nerve compression in the cervical spine. Increasingly, younger individuals are being diagnosed with cervical disc herniation due to daily lifestyle habits such as prolonged computer use, looking down at mobile phones for extended periods, poor posture, and injury from accidents.
Posterior Spinal Lumbar Discectomy (PSLD)

Posterior Spinal Lumbar Discectomy (PSLD)

Lower back pain radiating down the leg often stems from nerve compression in the lumbar spine. This condition is common among working adults and the elderly, as well as those with habits that accelerate spinal degeneration—such as prolonged sitting or standing in the same position, improper lifting techniques, spinal injuries from accidents, and high-impact physical activities.

A herniated disc occurs when an intervertebral disc slips out of its normal position and may press on nearby nerves. This condition commonly affects the lumbar spine, particularly at levels L4-L5 and L5-S1. It typically results from age-related disc degeneration, prolonged sitting, improper lifting techniques, or spinal trauma from accidents.

Spondylolisthesis is a condition in which one vertebra slips forward out of its normal alignment. This commonly occurs in the lower spine, especially at the L5-S1 level. It is frequently found in older adults due to degenerative disc disease, where the weakening of spinal discs leads to instability and vertebral displacement.
Endoscopic ACDF

Endoscopic ACDF

Endoscopic ACDF is a surgical procedure used to treat severe cervical disc degeneration or disc herniation in the neck. When the disc becomes too damaged to absorb shock or herniates and compresses the spinal nerves, it can cause radiating pain down the arms and hands, significantly affecting daily life.

Vertebral fractures or collapses are serious spinal conditions that typically occur due to bone degeneration, accidents, or severe trauma. These injuries can lead to significant pain and impair mobility. They are mostly seen in patients aged 50 and above, especially those with underlying osteoporosis.
Nerve Root Block Injection (SNRB)

Nerve Root Block Injection (SNRB)

Patients suffering from back pain caused by inflammation of the nerve root or foramen—often due to herniated discs or spinal joint inflammation—may experience radiating pain along the nerve pathway, even if the condition is still in its early stages. In such cases, a Selective Nerve Root Block (SNRB) can help reduce inflammation and alleviate pain effectively.
