Spinal Treatment and Care

“Nothing compares to good health—no matter the cost. If I can’t walk, I can’t work,”
“Nothing compares to good health—no matter the cost. If I can’t walk, I can’t work,”

These were the words of Mr. Narathit, reflecting the hardship he faced from persistent back pain radiating down his leg. It all began from long-distance driving across provinces without rest and extended periods of sitting in an office—what he initially thought was mere fatigue eventually turned into a severe and debilitating pain.

“It felt like there was pressure from my hip down my leg. Honestly, it was like something sharp stabbing from the leg to the back. Not just needles—bigger. It kept pushing and stabbing into my hip constantly. The pain was piercing and unrelenting. My leg went numb,”

he recalled, his eyes filled with the daily torment he endured.

A Life Consumed by Pain

Every morning, the pain would be the first thing to greet him.

“Each time I woke up, I’d immediately feel the pain. My leg couldn’t move normally. I had to get out of bed and go downstairs—but I had to hold onto the stair railing for support. Every step hurt so badly, I had to grit my teeth and force myself to walk.”

The pain that slowly eroded his happiness led him to seek help. Fortunately, a friend in the medical device industry recommended he visit S Spine Hospital. After a thorough diagnosis, he discovered that the root cause of his suffering was a herniated disc compressing a spinal nerve.

The Fear of Surgery

Upon learning he needed surgery, Mr. Narathit became anxious.

“I saw my mother undergo spinal surgery decades ago. They had to make a large incision and put in metal implants. Her condition worsened after that, and I was afraid the same would happen to me,”

he said, fear and hesitation still lingering in his eyes.

But after speaking with the doctor and learning about the treatment process, his confidence was restored.

“The doctor explained everything clearly—he turned something that sounded terrifying into something simple. It was like turning a major issue into a minor one, just a small incision,” he said with relief.

A New Life Restored

After surgery, the pain that once haunted his mornings disappeared.

“I tried walking to the bathroom right after—no problem at all. The numbness in my leg, the pain in my back and hip—it was all gone. I no longer have to wake up in pain,” he shared, smiling with gratitude.

This treatment not only gave him the ability to walk again, but also restored his quality of life. He could work and earn a living like before, free from the pain that once held him back.

Posterior Cervical Endoscopic Discectomy (PSCD)

Posterior Cervical Endoscopic Discectomy (PSCD)

Neck pain radiating down the arm is typically caused by nerve compression in the cervical spine. Increasingly, younger individuals are being diagnosed with cervical disc herniation due to daily lifestyle habits such as prolonged computer use, looking down at mobile phones for extended periods, poor posture, and injury from accidents.
Posterior Spinal Lumbar Discectomy (PSLD)

Posterior Spinal Lumbar Discectomy (PSLD)

Lower back pain radiating down the leg often stems from nerve compression in the lumbar spine. This condition is common among working adults and the elderly, as well as those with habits that accelerate spinal degeneration—such as prolonged sitting or standing in the same position, improper lifting techniques, spinal injuries from accidents, and high-impact physical activities.

A herniated disc occurs when an intervertebral disc slips out of its normal position and may press on nearby nerves. This condition commonly affects the lumbar spine, particularly at levels L4-L5 and L5-S1. It typically results from age-related disc degeneration, prolonged sitting, improper lifting techniques, or spinal trauma from accidents.

Spondylolisthesis is a condition in which one vertebra slips forward out of its normal alignment. This commonly occurs in the lower spine, especially at the L5-S1 level. It is frequently found in older adults due to degenerative disc disease, where the weakening of spinal discs leads to instability and vertebral displacement.
Endoscopic ACDF

Endoscopic ACDF

Endoscopic ACDF is a surgical procedure used to treat severe cervical disc degeneration or disc herniation in the neck. When the disc becomes too damaged to absorb shock or herniates and compresses the spinal nerves, it can cause radiating pain down the arms and hands, significantly affecting daily life.

Vertebral fractures or collapses are serious spinal conditions that typically occur due to bone degeneration, accidents, or severe trauma. These injuries can lead to significant pain and impair mobility. They are mostly seen in patients aged 50 and above, especially those with underlying osteoporosis.
Nerve Root Block Injection (SNRB)

Nerve Root Block Injection (SNRB)

Patients suffering from back pain caused by inflammation of the nerve root or foramen—often due to herniated discs or spinal joint inflammation—may experience radiating pain along the nerve pathway, even if the condition is still in its early stages. In such cases, a Selective Nerve Root Block (SNRB) can help reduce inflammation and alleviate pain effectively.
