"It's painful. It's agonizing. If it wasn't painful, I wouldn't have the surgery."

Even though she's almost 90 years old, Grandma Pin still has an unyielding spirit and decided to undergo knee replacement surgery.

This is the story of Grandma Pin Sukcharoen, 89 years old, who loves living in a natural garden. She can walk easily, although she occasionally uses a cane, but she still finds joy in gardening and the daily routine she has cherished throughout her life.

One day, she began experiencing severe knee pain and swelling. Upon examination at a hospital, the doctor diagnosed her with osteoarthritis and recommended only treatment with injections, stating that she was "too old for surgery."

The family, whose grandmother was suffering from this condition to the point where she could barely walk and the brightness had disappeared from her face, began seriously researching alternative treatments in order to see their grandmother happy again.

Finding a cure and making life-changing decisions.

The family searched for treatment and found S Spine & Joint, where they met Dr. Anuchit Wechchaichiva, a specialist in orthopedic surgery, who diagnosed the grandmother with stage 4 osteoarthritis of the knee. The medical team recommended knee replacement surgery for both knees . With a strong will and a desire to walk normally again, the grandmother expressed her wish to have both knees replaced simultaneously. The doctors explained the details, noting the risks associated with her age, before assessing her physical condition and finding her to be in excellent condition. She did not hesitate to undergo the surgery immediately.

"The doctor did a good job. It didn't hurt at all," said Mrs. Phin Sukcharoen, age 89.

Family confidence

The grandmother's family shared their impressions, saying that what impressed them most was that it was a truly specialized hospital. Everything was systematic, with specialized doctors, specialized physiotherapists, and a very well-equipped care team. Their mother's recovery was much faster than expected.

"After the surgery, my mother didn't complain of any pain," said the daughter of Mrs. Phin Sukcharoen.

And to conclude, although we had heard that knee replacement surgery might carry a risk of complications in the elderly, even to the point of inability to walk, this specialized hospital proved that it can truly bring happiness back to my mother.
