My experience with laser treatment for back and neck pain, by Ohm Akkaphan / Actor.

During the post-Songkran period, S Hospital felt greatly honored to have a handsome actor visit our specialist for back and neck pain. From our medical history, we learned that Khun Aom is constantly working on film sets, and often has to perform physically demanding roles.

That's because the action scenes, where I have to fight enemies and villains, might be one of the reasons for the back and neck pain. But I didn't think it was anything serious, just general aches and pains. I exercise and go to the gym as usual. However, I came to see a doctor at S Hospital because I was wondering if the pain was chronic. So I researched information online and on social media.

I then found S Hospital, a specialized hospital for spine and nervous system disorders, and contacted them to make an appointment and see a doctor.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the doctor conducted a thorough examination, including visual checks, X-rays, and MRI scans. The examination took approximately 1.5 hours. The results revealed an abnormality within the spine: a nerve was being compressed by a herniated intervertebral disc. Fortunately, the compression was not severe.

The doctor suggested a surgical alternative treatment using laser therapy. The laser emits radio waves to reduce pressure inside the intervertebral disc, allowing it to contract back to its original position. This is a new and advanced technique.

After deciding to undergo treatment, she spent one night recovering in the hospital and then returned home the next day. The result was that the pain she had been experiencing had disappeared because the nerve was no longer being compressed...

S Hospital would like to thank you for your trust in choosing our specialized hospital for spine and nervous system disorders. And you? How do you know if your back pain is related to the spine?

First, you should check yourself to see if the pain is from muscle problems or other illnesses. However, if the pain radiates down your leg from your back, it is often caused by a spinal nerve compression. If you notice this early, consult a specialist doctor.

Medication or physical therapy can sometimes alleviate the pain, but if the pain is severe, X-rays and MRI scans are recommended to allow the doctor to make an accurate diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment. Treating the root cause leads to lasting recovery – this is what the medical team at S Spine Hospital prioritizes most.
