Experience with laser treatment for spinal disc herniation by Mr. Chakri Buayaem.

I'd like to share my experience with medical treatment. I had back pain and had been receiving treatment at a private hospital using my social security insurance for over 7 years. Throughout that time, I only saw an orthopedic specialist once. The rest of the time, I only saw an internal medicine doctor who explained my symptoms and prescribed medication to take at home. Sometimes it seemed like the doctors thought I was just making things up. They often said things like, "It's nothing, everyone gets it," "It'll go away with medication," or "Maybe you should try adjusting your daily routine first."

I used to think, "Who wants to be in pain or have a serious illness?" Recently, during a long weekend holiday (Buddhist Lent), I planned to go back to my hometown to visit my mother. But that night, I experienced severe back pain that prevented me from sleeping. I decided to go to the hospital I used under my insurance at 4 AM, even though I knew I wouldn't get anything in return. When I arrived, the nurse asked, "What's wrong?" I replied, "My back pain is so bad I can't sleep." Then the doctor asked, "Why didn't you come during regular hours?" I thought to myself, "If I could wait, would I have come at 4 AM?" The doctor then gave me a muscle relaxant injection, and I went home. After that, my condition didn't improve; it got worse. I started having difficulty standing and walking for long periods. On the third day, I decided to search on Google and found a message saying that if my pain persisted, I should come to Npain Clinic (now S Spine Hospital). I called to make an appointment that evening and got a slot for the next day at 10 AM. When I arrived, a nurse greeted me, took my medical history, and I was immediately seen by a specialist. The doctor was very attentive, inquiring about symptoms, conducting physical examinations, and immediately ordering X-rays and MRI scans in the same facility. The MRI results revealed a very large herniated disc compressing the nerve, requiring urgent surgery. The doctor scheduled the surgery for the following day because he was concerned about the risk of permanent disability. Everything happened very quickly.

The treatment method is laser cauterization, which leaves very small wounds and allows for quick recovery. This is true access to treatment and addresses the root cause.

After recovering from surgery, I immediately felt that my back pain was gone. There was only slight soreness at the incision site. Upon reaching my room, the nurses took very good care of me.

Everything went well, and the next day the doctor came to visit and asked me to walk. It turned out I could walk normally. The doctor shook my hand and said...

"I'm glad you're back to a normal life." It's like I've found a light at the end of the tunnel. This is what true healing is all about.

S Hospital thanks Mr. Chakri for sharing his experience in treating his back pain and sincerely hopes that...
