Experience with endoscopic and laser treatment for herniated discs by Mr. Neville.

Mr. NEVILLE underwent a minimally invasive PSLD endoscopic surgery combined with laser treatment to relieve a herniated disc pressing on his nerves. He described that his back pain started unexpectedly and gradually worsened until one morning, he woke up to an intense pain—like an electric shock in the middle of his back that radiated down to his leg. Each night, he went to bed with anxiety and recurring nightmares. The pain was so intense that he began to fear getting out of bed every morning, knowing it would be agonizing.

"This pain was the worst experience of my life," said Mr. NEVILLE.

His wife, unable to watch him suffer every morning, started researching treatment options and eventually discovered S Spine Hospital. She brought him to consult with a specialist there.

Mr. NEVILLE’s wife shared that initially, she thought her husband's nerve compression was limited to a single spot. However, after reviewing the MRI results with the doctor, they discovered multiple points of nerve impingement. She decided right away that her husband should undergo treatment. Although he expressed fear about surgery, she reassured him that the procedure at S Spine was done through endoscopy, resulting in only a small incision.

On the day of surgery, Mr. NEVILLE admitted he was still afraid, but his wife offered comforting words, reminding him that the hospital uses minimally invasive techniques with a small incision.

After waking up from the procedure, Mr. NEVILLE was amazed to find the pain he used to dread every morning had vanished. He stepped out of bed to walk to the bathroom, and when his feet touched the floor, he realized that the pain that once haunted him was gone. Filled with joy, he told himself, “The pain is gone.”

We would like to thank Mr. NEVILLE and his wife for sharing their journey of recovery with S Spine Hospital.
