Privacy Policy for the Use of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Cameras

N.P. Medical Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as “the Company” or “we”) use closed-circuit television (CCTV) equipment to monitor areas inside and around buildings to protect lives, health, and property. We collect personal information of customers, employees, directors, contractors, visitors, or any other individuals entering the monitored areas, both inside and around the buildings, through CCTV cameras (collectively referred to as “you”). This Privacy Policy for the Use of Closed-Circuit Television provides information about how we collect, use, disclose, and transfer your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”). The Company may amend this policy at any time. Please stay informed of changes by regularly accessing this policy. We will notify you of any significant changes to this policy where possible.

1. Information We Collect

We collect still or moving images, audio, and images of objects (such as your vehicle) when you enter monitored areas inside buildings and premises through CCTV cameras. (“Information from Closed-Circuit Television”) In some cases, we may collect, use, or disclose your sensitive personal information (such as your facial recognition data), only with your express consent or when permitted by law.

2. Purposes of Collecting, Using, or Disclosing Your Personal Information

The Company may collect, use, disclose, transfer, and perform any actions, including but not limited to, recording, holding, adjusting, modifying, destroying, deleting, recovering, merging, copying, transmitting, storing, separating, updating, or adding information from Closed-Circuit Television and other personal information relating to you, for the following “purposes of installing Closed-Circuit Television”:

(a) To protect your health and safety, as well as your property.

(b) To protect buildings, premises, and property from damage, disruption, destruction, and other crimes.

(c) To support law enforcement agencies in deterring, preventing, and detecting crimes, including prosecuting when crimes occur.

(d) To support the effective resolution of disputes arising during disciplinary or grievance processes.

(e) To support investigations or proceedings related to whistleblowing.

(f) To support the establishment of rights or defenses in civil litigation. This includes, but is not limited to, labor cases, and

(c) to verify identity and to comply with applicable laws.

The company will install closed-circuit television cameras in easily visible locations. Areas where we will not install CCTV cameras include changing rooms, restrooms, shower rooms, or other areas designated as rest areas and requiring a high level of privacy for employees, as deemed appropriate by the company.

CCTV cameras will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will record audio. The company will install signs at entrances and exits and in areas monitored by CCTV cameras to inform you that CCTV cameras are present in those areas.

3. Legal Basis

The company will not collect, use, disclose, process, transfer, or perform any action, including but not limited to, recording, holding, modifying, correcting, destroying, deleting, recovering, merging, copying, transmitting, storing, separating, changing, or adding to data from CCTV cameras and other personal data relating to you without your consent, except in the following cases:

(a) to preserve essential interests in life; necessary to prevent or mitigate harm to the life, body, or health of an individual.

(b) in legitimate interests; necessary in Honda’s legitimate interests to protect your health and safety. This includes your property, buildings, premises, and our property, and any other actions taken to fulfill the purposes of installing CCTV cameras. We will endeavor to strike a balance between our legitimate interests and those of any third party involved, as applicable, with your fundamental right to protection of information from CCTV cameras relating to you. Furthermore, we will make every effort to find appropriate methods to achieve such a balance.

(c) To fulfill legal obligations: We are obligated to comply with applicable laws, including but not limited to laws relating to safety and the working environment. We consider the use of CCTV cameras a necessary measure to enable us to fulfill these obligations.

4. Individuals to whom we share and disclose your personal information

The Company will keep the information from CCTV cameras relating to you confidential and will not disclose or transfer such information to anyone except its group companies (“Affiliates”), carefully selected third parties, both current and future, licensees, joint venture partners, and/or service providers, to fulfill the purposes of installing CCTV cameras as specified in this policy.

Third parties to whom the Company may disclose information from CCTV cameras and other personal information relating to you include:

(a) Affiliates: We may disclose or transfer information from CCTV cameras and other personal information relating to you to our affiliated companies. For our legitimate benefit and the benefit of our affiliates in fulfilling the purpose of installing closed-circuit television cameras:

(b) Government agencies and/or law enforcement agencies: We may disclose information from closed-circuit television cameras and personal information.
