Anabolic agents

Anabolic agents are a group of medications that help “stimulate new bone formation” by activating osteoblasts (bone-building cells) to work more efficiently. They help increase bone density and restore lost bone tissue, especially in patients with severe osteoporosis or those at high risk of fractures from even minor falls or previous fractures caused by osteoporosis. These agents not only help strengthen bones but also assist in restoring the function of bones damaged by osteoporosis.

Signs of Osteoporosis

Radiating Pain to the Hips or Legs

Vertebral slippage can compress nearby nerves, causing radiating pain to the hip or upper leg.

Muscle Weakness

Some patients may experience leg weakness, making movement and walking more difficult.

Numbness or Tingling Sensation

Compressed nerves may cause numbness, sharp tingling, or electric shock-like sensations in the legs or feet.

Lower back pain

Pain typically occurs in the lumbar region or hips areas that bear weight. It may radiate to the hips or legs, making movement difficult.

Diagnosis

Pain may occur in the lower back or hips, which are weight-bearing areas, and may radiate down to the hip or leg, making movement difficult.

Treatment Technique

We stand out with our signature S-Quality treatment standard, which consists of three key components:

Specialized Orthopedic Surgeons

🎯 Trained under hospital-standard protocols to ensure precision and safety.

Skilled Medical Support Team

🎯 With deep knowledge of treatment protocols and strong coordination with physicians to shorten recovery times.

Advanced Specialized Technology

🎯 Designed specifically for spine and joint treatments, including world-class surgical tools. The absence of any one component may compromise treatment efficiency.

Treatment procedure

At S Spine & Joint Hospital, a specialized spine and joint hospital, we use the Bone Mineral Density (BMD) test, which is an international standard. It provides accurate results and can assess both the spine and joint bones, along with evaluating the potential risk of future fractures.

Identifying the Cause

Diagnosis begins with posture-specific X-rays and upright MRI scans to evaluate abnormalities in cervical discs. Physicians combine both sets of images for a highly accurate assessment.

Antiresorptive Agents

Patients will receive pre-treatment instructions, such as fasting or informing the doctor of any existing conditions or allergies. A thorough physical examination will also be conducted.

Anabolic Agents

These medications are suitable for individuals with osteoporosis or those at high risk of fractures. They are injected under the skin using a small needle and work by both reducing bone resorption and stimulating bone formation to strengthen bones.

Small incision The size of a syringe needle

After performing the bone mineral density test, the doctor will evaluate the results and explain the risk of osteopenia or osteoporosis. If risks are identified, appropriate care or treatment options will be recommended.
