"Just one night, and you can go home tomorrow. It's so relaxing. The first day was a bit tight, the wound felt slight, but by the second day, it was all gone."

My experience with endoscopic proprioception (PSCD) treatment for cervical disc herniation, by Mr. Kamol Jifu.

Nurse: What were your symptoms before you came to see the doctor?

Ms. Kamol: “At first, I was in a lot of pain. My neck, shoulders, and upper back ached, radiating down to both shoulder blades and both arms. It was excruciating. I was very impressed with the care and advice I received from the doctor. The doctor sent me for a scan, which revealed I had a herniated disc in my neck, causing the severe pain that was unbearable, even with medication for years. I hadn't had any tests to determine the cause.”

Nurse: How have you been feeling since your treatment?

Ms. Kamol: “It's so much better now. I feel so relieved. When I first came here, the pain was excruciating. Some days I almost cried. Nothing helped – I went to clinics, hospitals near my house, everywhere. They just treated the symptoms. But since coming here, I feel like my neck, shoulder, and upper back pain has significantly improved. Initially, I was hesitant to do anything because I was still a bit awkward. The doctor forbade me from lifting heavy objects. Now, at home, I do light housework. I wear a neck brace, taking it off to sleep so I can nap comfortably, and putting it back on during the day. I have to take better care of myself so that the intervertebral disc doesn't get compressed again.”

Nurse: And how are you experiencing pain in your neck, shoulders, and upper back?

Ms. Kamol: I'm so relieved. I don't have neck pain like before, and my neck doesn't feel as heavy. The headache I used to have is gone. Normally, when I had pain, it would be a throbbing pain and my eye would feel like it was going to pop out of its socket. I'm so relieved. However, after the first day of treatment, my left eye twitched a bit. But overall, I'm very satisfied. I never thought that my herniated disc could be cured or improved so easily.

Nurse: Right is bad, left is good. (Laughs)

Mr. Kamol: (Laughing and smiling happily) "But after returning home, the twitching decreased. Today it's completely gone. There's none at all."

Nurse: And how is the radiating pain down your arm?

Mr. Kamol: "It's much lighter now, much better."

Nurse: If you compare the before and after pictures, is there a difference?

Ms. Kamol: “This is it. It's perfect. I'm very satisfied. I can turn over in bed without pain. Before treatment, I was in so much pain. Life was so difficult. I couldn't lift heavy things, I couldn't do anything. I decided to come here, and it's really been great. The doctor is so kind.”

Nurse: So, how is your daily life these days?

Mr. Kamol: It's much better than before because it feels lighter and relieved now. Before, I was very worried and felt so uneasy. I wanted to sleep all day because of the pain. It hurt so much. Now it's lighter and I feel relieved.

Nurse: How do you compare traditional and modern medical treatments, madam?

Ms. Kamol: It's very different from before. I was afraid of treatment, thinking I'd have surgery and stay in the hospital for many days. But the technology here is excellent. After watching the videos and listening to the doctor's explanations, I started to understand more about my condition, that it's actually caused by a herniated disc compressing a nerve, not just general muscle pain. After hearing the advice, I felt less anxious. I must say, the doctor is amazing.

Nurse: How many nights will you be staying in the hospital?

Mr. Kamol: "Just one night, and I can go home tomorrow. So convenient. The first day the wound was a little tight, but by the second day it was completely relieved."

Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation After Joint Surgery

Joint surgeries such as knee, hip, shoulder, or wrist surgeries are procedures that help reduce pain from osteoarthritis or severe injuries. While surgery addresses the structural issues of the joint, what is equally important after surgery is “physical therapy and rehabilitation” to ensure a full recovery and the ability to return to daily life.
